It's been quite a while since I have posted anything, but no news is good news, right?! Baby Sophia is doing very well and growing like a champ. Like I stated in my last post we took her in on 8/4 and she was 7lbs 5 oz. We took her in to see her pediatrician on 8/15 and she was 8 lbs 12 oz! Jason didn't believe me when he came in the room and asked what her weight was. Her pediatrician is excellent and said she is doing very well. Children's Hospital was sending him updates, which I think is awesome, so he was able to monitor her while she was down there as well. I then took her in yesterday (8/21) amd she now weighs 9 lbs 4 oz. She is doing really well eating and we are slowly weaning her off of the formula. She was breastfeeding more during the day and night and only got about three bottles of the formula a day. She actually took herself off of the formula a couple of weeks ago, without "permission" from the pediatrician. This is okay though..the formula smelled really bad and breastmilk is so much better! She is pretty fussy, almost colicy at night, but we are working through that as best as we can. (At least we are keeping up to date with the Olympics that way) We have shown her to our co-workers and everyone loves her...we are having a hard time explaining to people why she has blond, almost red hair, it's a good thing most people think she looks like Jason! She is getting very active and Gabi loves helping with her.
