Cath Lab
We are currently in cloudy Seattle! :0) It may be cloudy, but SOOOO much warmer then Anchorage right now, so I'll take it. Sophia is currently in the recovery room from her procedure, so we still have a little time before we can see her. It's funny how well you do when you are prepared for a trip like this as opposed to being medivaced to Seattle! To be honest I was pretty scared yesterday, but the anesthesia nurse asked if I wanted to go back with her as they put her under and I told her that I did. I was so surprised by my strength in going with her, but I think that made it a lot easier for me as well. It took a little over an hour and I am so amazed with the pictures that Dr. Jones showed us. Even with the stent the amount of blood flow that was going through was only 2.1! Last year when we were medivaced it was a little over 1, so we were close to what it was last year. He then showed us the picture after he did the balloon catheter and the width is 5.2. I'll take picture on my iPhone later and post them so you can see :0) The pressure differences are SO much better now. They were 40 before the procedure and he said they are under ten right now. Thank you to everyone who has sent well wishes and prayers and I'll update you more once I see her!
