We started calling Sophia "Fia" because that's what the kids at daycare called her, since it was easier and I like it so much better than the nickname "Sophie." Sorry for everyone who has a daughter they call Sophia, but I prefer Sophia. So we call our little one Fia. When we were in Hawaii we learned that Fia Fia mean place of extreme joy. Sophia immediately saw this poster and knew it said Fia and had to pose. She is our extreme joy and now I know we "chose" the right nickname!
