Restless In Seattle
Sophia and I got to Seattle yesterday afternoon. It strangely feels like home...it's weird. I told Jason after I got to the hospital today, that it's sad, all I had to do was figure out how to get on the I5 from my hotel and the rest I was able to do from memory. That's how you know you have been here too ofent.
The weather in Seattle is lovely rain...better than the below zero temps that we were getting at home though! After getting settled into the hotel last night, I drove Sophia to the hospital so that she could see where we were going, she didn't want to leave when I told her that it was time to go! Silly girl.
I carb loaded that girl last night since her surgery was scheduled for 11:15 and she had to stop eating at 4am. I let her sleep in and made sure that we were at the hospital by 10:30. By 11:50 they finally called us and let us know that the surgery was actually scheduled for 1; so that meant another hour until her surgery and another hour without eating. Well, that didn't happen either. We were stuck in the pre op room for over an hour and they didn't come and get her until 2:34. Let's just say at that point you had a grumpy Talia and Sophia. Sophia was just miserable, she was hungry, tired, and she is REALLY missing her daddy. We haven't done anything like this before. Either Jason takes a trip, I do for work, or all four of us go together. We have never been split up like this as a family and it's really hard, especially on the girls.
So here I sit, in the familiar chairs at the suregery center. We are schueduled to stay overnight. I have a bag packed and lots of toys for Fia to play with tonight. Plus her favorite Nicki Minaj is on American Idol tonight...how and I going to keep an active four year old still?
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I know I have been spacey and crazy lately...I promise it'll get better :)

No need to apologize for your scatter brains. And to tell you the truth, you haven't even seemed that way. Glad she's out of surgery and recovering well. You are an amazing mom with an abundance of strength. I admire you greatly. I'm here whenever you need me.
