So my baby girl is 100 days. Sophia is 1/4 Korean (Jason's mother is Korean) and in the Korean culture since there is such a high mortality rate in Korea they celebrate the child's 100th day. It is said that if the child lives to be100 days they will live to have a long happy, life. To top of Ms. Sophia's 100th day, we went to the pediatrician to get a synagis shot. Synagis is the vaccine for RSV. They are going to give Sophia this vaccine every month during the winter to keep her from getting a severe case of RSV which can be harmful to her with her heart condition. She is now 12 pounds 5 ounces which is the 50% for her age. I am super excited about this, because my little stinker is the laziest eater I have EVER known, but at least she is eating!! We did take her in to the pediatrician this weekend because she had a rash and it turned out to possibly be roseola. She didn't have the fever that same with it, but she had every other symptom that came with it. Sophia has started laughing and the person who makes her laugh the hardest is Gabi. She absolutely LOVES her big sister and I hope they will continue to be close and love each other!
Milestones of Sophia's first 100 days:
~Sent mommy to Seattle a week early in preterm labor
~Had mommy induced twice because I wasn't really ready to come
~One ambulance ride
~One open heart surgery
~22 days lived in Children's Hospital
~First airplane ride at 23 days old
~Mastered the NG tube
~Weaned myself off of yucky Alementium formula
~Seven doctors appointments
~Off meds and only on Lovenox shots
~Smiles, laughs, and coos; especially to big sister Gabi
~Loves sucking her fingers
~Was sleeping through the night, but now wakes up twice to feed
~Wears 3-6 month clothing
~Holds her head up, but still has a hard time lifting it during tummy time
