Memorial Day

We had such a beautiful weekend! The sun was shining all weekend and we spent the majority of the time outside. We came in to eat and sleep and that was pretty much it. The girls tried to play in the garage for some reason and I told them to play outside while they can because you never know how long this weather is going to last. Last year we broke a record for most consecutive days of rainfall and it started right after Memorial Day...definitely don't want a repeat of that! The girls played, ran through the sprinkler and Gabi even got a bit of a tan! (Miss Fia had to be bathed in sunblock since the sun doesn't seem to like her very much) I totally wish I was five and/or two again. These girls had so much fun!

First Dance Recital

Gabi had her first dance recital today. She was so excited and she did so well. My little shy girl has come out of her shell quiet a bit and it is so bittersweet! I was a little sad and wished that my dad could have been there in person, but he was there watching her and I know he was proud of his sweet little friend.

2011 Heart Run

I had a much harder time preparing for the Heart Run this year. I gave myself a goal before my dad passed away that I would run the timed version of the race and I actually did achieve that goal. (Well, I did walk up the huge hill by APU, but who's paying attention.) I got a good cry out before the race, ran the 5k (in 33 min!) and then walked the 3k with Jason and the girls. It was a great walk/run!! The girls just LOVE getting their medals at the end of the race!
