CHD Awareness Week

I was completely perpetrated to come on today, like I do every year and start my weekly posts that support CHD week and my beautiful heart baby. I'm still going to do that, but we have gotten the fateful call from Seattle. My one in one hundred will be having her second open heart surgery in not 3-6 months, but I'm in 3 weeks. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the quick turn of events. I saw the number on my phone (206) 987-0000 and knew who it was. I was completely expecting a suggestion of Aril or May and the words "pre op 2/27 and surgery 2/28." I tried to see if there was anything a little but later so that we wouldn't have to take Gabi out of school again this year, but apparently Spring Break is the same there and they were booked. So this week I will raise awareness like I never have before.
