Mommy Number 2
I suck. This is my yearly Heart Awareness week blog and for some reason I just haven't been able to get on and update. I've admittedly been in a funk that I have had a hard time getting out of, but I am working really hard to get out of it.
I'm going to profile my family a little bit in this years blog. I blog about Sophia mostly, but a lot of my family reads the blog too, so I'll add a little Gabi update as well!
Oh Gabi...where do I even start? She has been a little mommy to Sophia since the day Sophia was born. I have been thinking a lot this year about what she has been exposed to with all of Sophia's medical stuff and wondered if I have exposed her to too much. Except for the trip that I took with Sophia last week, Gabi has been on all of our Seattle trips. She is always right by her sister's side making sure that she is being taken care of. They have such a love/hate relationship, but at the end of the day. Gabi loves her baby sister.
Now to Gabi today. She is a spunky seven year old who LOVE Taylor Swift. I gave her my ipod for her birthday with three Taylor Swift CD's on them and the girl walks around the house singing Taylor Swift! I had planned on taking her to see Taylor Swift this year, we were thinking either Austin (to see my dear friend Courtney) or Portland, but I don't think we'll be able to make it after all of these Seattle trips. She's a phenomenal reader. I told Jason when I first found out I was pregnant with Gabi that the one thing I wanted our children to get from me was my love for reading and boy did I get that tenfold. The two of us can sit for hours on end and read together...I love it! Gabi is doing really well in school, she LOVES school. We have been so lucky to have great teachers that really work to her strengths and I get to see her excitement over learning every, single day...it is so refreshing!
I am incredibly blessed to be the mother of two beautiful little girls and I count my lucky stars literally every day!
