Little Hiccups
We have had a little hiccup with Sophia, but it seems to be doing a little better. On Thursday morning (2am) we got a phone call from the hospital that Sophia was having low heart rates and they wanted us to come to the hospital. They wouldn't allow Gabi to come, so I went by myself and stayed with Sophia. She was having low heart rates, but they did an echo and chest x-ray and everything looked okay. Her blood pressure and everything else was fine, but again she just had the trouble with her heart rate. It finally stabilized at 7:30am and she was fine after that. They are still trying to determine what caused her heart to slow down, but everything seems to be fine for now. They did another echo in the morning and we found out there was nothing on it that would be cause for alarm. On a better note, we were able to try feeding her again today and she did much better than she did on Tuesday! We are using the binky trainer, where they have a tube through a binky and she eats from there. She has done really well and is eating like a champ. They only bad thing about her feeding is they have her on a continuous feed and I unfortunately don't have a continuous about of breastmilk for her, so hopefully they will try and wean her off of that soon. She has been up and awake more often. She is a much different baby then even last week. She looks great and hopefully we will get her out of the hospital soon!

Hey Talia - I just read through this blog fighting back the tears.... Sofia is beautiful and I commend both you and Jason for your strength and courage. Prayers are powerful. You have endured much - just know that the blessing is on the other side. Stay strong and believe. I hope to be able to meet Sophia soon. I'll continue to check your blog for updates and wonderful pictures.

Hi Talia and Jason, I learned of the blog from my neighbor who I just talked with for the first time and mentioned that she probably knew my grand-daughters which she did and told me that she had seen the pictures on the net. (Leslie) when to school with you at Wonder Park through high school. The pictures are very beautiful and she looks like a little doll. She is on several pray list of my friends in the lower 48th and you guys seem to be holding up quite well, which we are so thankful for and know that she's in Gods hand and will be just fine. Love you, Grandpa
Oh little one... she is so darling! I love the pictures of her eyes.. I have never seen her awake before. It has been so great to have someone on this wonderful journey ;-) who knows exactly how I feel.
