Update
Sophia is doing very well. They closed her chest yesterday and she had a little trouble with that. They initially closed her, but had to open her again because her blood pressure went down and then they closed her again. She was still a little agitated when she came to her ICU room, but the nurse gave her some morphine and her daddy suggested we put her arms up (which is her absolute favorite) and her pressures came right down. When I went to see her this morning they said she had a great night. They had lowered her respirator rate over the night and they lowered it again today, they took one of her arterial lines out and they have started feeding her my breastmilk. ( I have been a slave to my breast pump for the past 11 days...can't wait until she finally is able to eat!) They are going to try and take her off the ventilator tomorrow and take out two of her chest tubes as well. This long road is looking slowly like it has an end and Jason and I couldn't be more excited. Sophia looks great and is a true champ in all that she is doing.

I'm so happy to read how well she is doing. The girls are sitting here with me looking at the pictures and they yelled out...There's Gabi.
Keeping you all in our thoughts.
