She's here!

Sophia Mackenzie Robinson was born today July 08, 2008 at 12:48pm in Seattle, WA. She weighs 7 pounds 2.4 ounces and is 19 inches long. Get this...she actually has hair!!! She is a fiesty little girl, who I am sure is going to give Jason and I a run for our money. She has a set of lungs on her that I think make Gabi's look weak and she will only quiet down when she hears her sister's voice! I was induced yesterday (7/7) at 11:30 am and she wasn't ready to come. They turned off my pitocin at 8pm to let me get some sleep. They came back in the room this morning at 5:30 and started increasing my pitocin every 30-45 minutes and finally by 12 I was ready to push. I had a great support team of Jason, my mom, and my grandmother in the room with me. They were supporting me when I was trying to give up! When she finally arrived, they allowed us to keep her in the room with us for a little while. They then took her to the NICU and gave her the medication to keep her valves open. At about 3 pm they transported her to Children's Hospital. Jason went to the Children's Hospital shortly after she was transported and I wasn't able to go until a little after 7 when they discharged me. When I met them at Children's Hospital she was doing fabulous. She looks great and appears to be doing great. The doctor's told Jason that we should know something about the surgery no later than Monday. They ran a bunch of tests on her today to see if she has the coarctation or not and we haven't heard the results of those yet. She is a beautiful baby and as soon as we get and ethernet cable...I'll post pictures!
